Cookie policy
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies this site uses, what each does, how long it lasts and how to control them. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which explains what happens to the personal data involved.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, software development kits — do comparable things and are treated identically here. A first-party cookie is set by this site; a third-party cookie is set by another organisation whose service appears on it. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent cookie remains until it expires or you remove it.
2. The rule applied
Under article 82 of the loi Informatique et Libertés, which implements article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, information may be stored on or read from your device without consent only where it is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for. Everything else requires your prior, free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent.
Accordingly nothing beyond the strictly necessary category is placed until you accept it in the banner. Refusing is as easy as accepting, both choices are offered at the same level, and continuing to browse is not treated as consent. Your choice is recorded and can be changed at any time.

These cannot be switched off without breaking the site, which is why the law does not require consent for them.
4. Audience measurement — only with your consent
Measures how many people visit, which pages they read, how they arrived and where they leave, to decide what to publish and what to fix. Data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. Typical lifetime is up to 13 months, with data retained no longer than 25 months, in line with CNIL guidance. Nothing is placed until you accept.
5. Third parties on this site
The payment provider places its own strictly necessary cookies on its hosted checkout pages in order to process payment securely and prevent fraud; that processing is governed by its own policy. The consent tool places the consent record cookie described above. No social media widgets and no advertising trackers are embedded.
6. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it and takes effect immediately for anything placed afterwards. To remove cookies already stored, use your browser’s privacy settings; every major browser allows you to view, delete and block cookies and offers a private browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the basket and checkout from working.
7. Browser signals
There is no common standard for how sites should respond to a browser’s Do Not Track header, so it is not relied on. Where your browser sends a recognised global privacy control signal, the consent tool treats it as a refusal of non-essential cookies.
8. Changes
If a tool that sets cookies is added, this page is updated and, where consent is required, the banner asks again before anything is placed.
